Geek Credentials

Okay as if talking about toys non stop wasn't enough proof, I am going to show off some of my Batman Geek Credentials. I think this should be a meme, somebody get on that.

So first up is an assortment of DC Comics buttons that I have worn at one time or another. Usually pinned to a backpack, since it's too hot here for jean jackets. Superman the Animated Series was a promotional button given to me by an licensing coordinator who went to all the trade shows back in the day, I thought it was pretty cool. The others are of my two favorites, the Flash and Batman!

Exhibit B, the 1989 Batmobile Batphone. I can't for the life of me remember how I got this, so that means it was either a present from my wife or I bought it. I know we used it in our apartment for the longest time, nothing like the Batmobile flashing it's lights at you every time the phone rang. You can see by the stretched cord this baby got some use... cords... hard to believe, what with the cordless and mobile phones everywhere.

This was the last time my wife let me pick out a home accessory, well this and the 50's shower curtain really got me taken off the home shopping duties. I also think my wife tired of me saying "yes commissioner" or "quick to the bat phone!" every time I picked this phone up.

So I will be looking around the internets for others to be flying their Geek Credentials! Stand proud freaks and geeks!

that looks really uncomfortable to use as a phone.

I must have used that phone for almost 10 years! It still works last I checked although I don't even have a land line anymore.
