What you didn't see was my wife trying to keep the Bulldog busy behind me so the toy would not be snatched up and chewed.
Squee (the Basset in the photo) is an extremely well behaved little dog and she likes to hang around with me so she's pretty much game for photo shoots as long as I keep up with the pets and a treat.

It's incredible to be able to take outdoor shot with a toy and with a dog that appear so steadily and obedience for photo taking.
